I am a tenured associate professor in the Division of Biomedical Informatics (Department of Internal Medicine) at the University of Kentucky working primiarliy in natural language processing, machine learning, data mining, and broadly in informatics and data science for biomedicine and healthcare. I also hold a courtesy appointment in the Computer Science Department. Earlier, I was a postdoctoral research scientist in the Kno.e.sis Center at
Wright State University where I worked on knowledge-based biomedical search/discovery systems. I graduated with a Ph.D in CS from UKY in 2009. My dissertation is on the analysis of sequence security measures in the context of stream ciphers.
I obtained an M.S in CS from WKU in 2004 and a B.Tech in computer science and engineering from JNTU (India) in 2002.
