Integration of the Concast service and SENCOMM Leon Poutievski Ph.D. candidate, Department of Computer Science, Uiversity of Kentucky SENCOMM is an active monitoring, management, and control project developed at the Internetwork Research department at BBN Technologies. Concast is a many-to-one best-effort network service developed here at UK's ActiveCast group that allows a receiver to treat a group of senders as a single entity. Both projects are part of the DARPA Active Networks program. This talk presents the work I did at BBN this summer. I will describe SENCOMM, define the Concast service, present the design to make the Concast Service available to SENCOMM applications, and discuss the challenges I had to overcome to support it in SENCOMM. I will also present examples of concast-enabled SENCOMM applications.
